Trainee/Graduate Quantity Surveyor

My client who have a graduate programme within their company for the last 6 years are now looking for their next Graduate/Trainee Quantity Surveyor, to work under the guise of a time served Commercial Manager and work closely with other existing commercial team members.
Duties and responsibilities include:
- Support the commercial and financial management of construction projects, while qualified, training or studying toward a formal qualification
- Assist the commercial team in tracking costs, managing budgets, and administering contracts from pre-contract stages through to final account settlement
- Assist with preparing project budgets, cost plans, and interim valuations
- Help send out enquiries, evaluate quotes, and set up subcontractor orders
- Facilitate in gathering site records to draft client valuations and applications for payments
- Help track project variations, early warning notices, and compensation events under contracts like JCT or NEC
- Maintain commercial files, input data into internal financial systems, and assist with monthly margin reports
