Role: Speech and Language Therapist - Adult's
Salary: £27 per hour (umbrella of your choice)
Location: Dartford, Gravesend and Swanley - Kent
Job Type: 3 month locum contract with a view to extend
Shifts: 3 days a week / 22.5 hours - flexible on days
About the Role:
HCRG Staffing are looking for a Band 6 locum Speech & Language Therapist (Adult's). Hybrid working allowed - 1 day needs to be face to face in Kent and the other 2 days can be fully remote.
Our client needs face to face working (1 day is fine), ideally working in the community so a car driver is ideal, but they do also offer virtual and clinic consultations too.
The ideal candidate would have experience working with adults with communication and swallowing disorders across a range of conditions, using a variety of assessments and therapy approaches. A proactive approach to learning and development, with a passion for delivering person-centred care
Key responsibilities include:
- Provide assessment, diagnosis, therapy, and advice for adults with acquired communication and swallowing disorders.
- Work closely with junior and senior clinicians to deliver high-quality, person-centred interventions.
- Manage a varied caseload that may include patients with neurological conditions, head and neck cancer, voice, and dysfluency disorders.
- Provide support to junior staff to develop clinical expertise and build confidence in specialist areas
Who We Are Looking For:
Education: Degree in Speech and Language Therapy.
Licenses: HCPC registered
Experience: 2 years+ experience.
Skills: Experience working with adults with communication and swallowing disorders across a range of conditions, using a variety of assessments and therapy approaches. Confidence using IT systems and a working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
