Primary Teacher SEMH

Primary SEMH Teacher required to teach small classes of Key Stage 2 children with SEMH needs. Are you a qualified Primary Teacher with experience working with SEMH needs or challenging behaviours? Do you have a passion for breaking down barriers to education and inspiring children? This small SEMH provision are looking to add a Primary SEMH Teacher to the team, to teach mixed ability Key Stage 2 classes. These small classes require an SEMH Primary Teacher who is able to deliver engaging lessons, and work closely with a team of experienced support staff to get the most out of each day.
As a Primary SEMH Teacher at this school you will be joining an established team of teaching and support staff who are passionate about going the extra mile, and helping children to reengage with education. Many of the pupils have been out of the school setting for extended periods of time and require a teacher who is able to differentiate lessons to suit a range of abilities within each class. Class sizes are small and you will receive excellent support from a dedicated team of SEMH teaching staff. You must be a Qualified Primary Teacher for this role, and experience supporting children with SEMH needs of Special Educational Needs is essential.
Job role:
- Teaching small classes of children across Key Stage 2
- Effectively managing classroom behaviours, with the support of the pastoral team
- Working alongside other SEMH Primary Teachers to develop the curriculum
- Breaking down barriers and making learning fun and engaging for all pupils
- Delivering 1-2-1 and small group intervention sessions
