Temp to Perm Opportunity Favourable Day Shifts Overtime Available We are seeking a plasma cutter and forklift truck driver for a busy metal processing plant in Tamworth. This is an excellent opportunity to join a leading recycling business with a presence across four continents. As such, they are keen to make a long-term investment in new staff members who are looking to build a career in the metals industry. Main responsibilities for the Plasma Cutter role include: - Using a plasma cutter to cut catalytic converters - Using a hand torch to cut metal - Operating a forklift truck to move granulated products around the shop floor - Stripping parts using hand tools - Sorting parts into separate categories by hand - Working at a sampling station to help identify the concentration of precious metals in each component (e.g. platinum/rhodium) - Picking using a computerised inventory system - Completing general dispatch paperwork Although you will likely be assigned a core area, it is the company’s aim to offer cross-training across multiple areas to maximise your skills and knowledge. Workwear will be provided; however, please note that you will be required to wear a full protective mask and visor to ensure proper ventilation. We are seeking candidates with the following core skills: - Trustworthy and hard-working attitude - Willingness to learn new skills - Proven experience in a manufacturing, engineering, or process plant environment, including operating a forklift truck - Comfortable working in a dusty environment - Ability to use basic machinery and hand tools - An in-date accredited Counterbalance licence would be advantageous Hours of work: 07:00 – 16:00, Monday to Friday Rate of pay: £13.75 per hour, increasing to £14.50 If you are interested, please click to apply. |  |  |  |
