A leading aviation manufacturer located near Oxford city centre is seeking Mechanical Technician / Fitters to join their dynamic team.
If you are looking for the chance to transition into an aircraft engineering, this could be the opportunity you have been waiting for, a journey to becoming a helicopter engineer but you need to already be a talented and competent technician up to this challenge from an automotive or other technical vocations background.
Due to the location, you must have transport and live locally in Oxfordshire, also able to pass UK security clearance and ITAR regulations. (Please check before applying)
Mechanical Technician / Fitter to License programme: IMPORTANT INFORMATION
The company pay for a proportion of the module, exams and accommodation while on the course and the programme starts after a successful 6-month notice period.
During probation you will be required to complete 3 modules, personally funded.
Bond requirements cover 3 years within the company during the modules.
The bond would remain in force for 2 years after you have become a certifying engineer.
As a Mechanical Technician / Fitter, you'll be working under the supervision of Licensed Aircraft Engineers on some of the best helicopters in the world.
You'll play a crucial role in ensuring the safe, continued operation of our aircraft through:
- Replacement and installation of mechanical and electrical components as per maintenance schedules and repair requirements.
- While not certifying work, you will support licensed engineers and technicians in the completion of inspections and repairs
- Work closely with licensed engineers, fitters, and other team members to ensure the smooth operation of aircraft maintenance tasks.
