Maintenance Operative Location: Kettering, UK Salary: £23,901.08 + on-call allowance (one week in three) Hours: 37.5 per week Pertemps are seeking a proactive and reliable Maintenance Operative to join our clients facilities team, supporting the safe, efficient, and well-maintained operation of sites. This is a full-time position working on a rotating split-shift pattern.  Shift Pattern Week 1: Monday–Friday, 5:30am – 1:30pm Week 2: Monday–Friday, 8:00am – 4:00pm Week 3: Monday–Friday, 11:00am – 7:00pm  Key Responsibilities The Maintenance Operative will independently carry out a wide range of duties, ensuring the smooth running and security of the facilities, including: - Performing general caretaking and maintenance tasks, including DIY, basic plumbing, painting, decorating, and operating a FLT. - Completing toilet log reports and documenting all work carried out. - Managing the opening and closing of the site and maintaining site security. - Conducting safety and maintenance checks on pool cars. - Responding to intruder and fire alarm callouts as required. - Acting as a site key holder. - Carrying out routine Health & Safety inspections. - Performing occasional heavy lifting. - Supporting hospitality requirements when needed.  About You - We are looking for someone who is: - Capable of working effectively both independently and as part of a team. - Flexible and adaptable to changing tasks and priorities. - Positive, proactive, and solutions-focused. - Experienced in building strong working relationships across departments. - In possession of a full UK driving licence. - Willing to train and serve as a first aider. - Skilled in problem solving with a practical mind-set.  Benefits - Staff benefits package includes: - 25–30 days annual leave (dependent on length of service) - Life assurance - Group personal pension plan - Income protection - Free onsite parking  Closing date for applications: 5th December 2025  Interested?
