Supply Desk are working in partnership with a large and well-respected primary school in Maidstone who are seeking an Upper Key Stage 2 Teacher to join their team from September 2025 to cover a maternity leave until at least June 2026. This is a full-time, long-term position with full teaching responsibilities, ideal for both Early Career Teachers (ECTs) and experienced teachers who are passionate about making a difference.
About the Role:
- Teaching a class in Upper Key Stage 2, delivering engaging, well-planned lessons aligned with the national curriculum.
- Taking full classroom responsibilities including planning, assessment, and reporting.
- Creating a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment where all pupils can succeed.
- Working collaboratively with colleagues, support staff, and leadership to deliver outstanding outcomes.
- Building strong relationships with parents and carers to support pupils’ progress and wellbeing.
The Ideal Candidate Will:
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Have experience teaching in Key Stage 2, ideally in Years 5 or 6 (though ECTs with strong placements will be considered).
- Be a team player with a proactive and positive attitude.
- Be committed to inclusive education and supporting pupils of all backgrounds and abilities.
- Have a current enhanced DBS certificate on the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
