You’ll be embedded within project delivery teams and supported by senior engineers and directors to build your skills in a supportive, yet autonomous environment. Key Responsibilities: - Develop structural designs and calculations for multi-material projects—including steel, concrete, masonry, and timber. - Prepare reports, drawings, and specifications aligned with current British Standards (BS) and Eurocodes (UK–compliant). - Collaborate with architects, MEP consultants, and contractors to ensure seamless integration of structural elements. - Conduct design reviews, checking and quality controlling work across junior team members’ output. - Visit sites as required for feasibility studies, inspections, and to support project execution. - Engage in technical meetings and support presentations to clients and delivery teams. - Contribute to internal continuous improvement such as optimising design workflows or enhancing digital tools/software processes. ------------------------- Your Profile Essential: - Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering. - Minimum of 2 years’ relevant experience in structural design, including use of analysis software (e.g., Tekla, SCIA, SAP2000, IDEA Statica) and CAD/BIM platforms (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit). - Strong technical knowledge of steel, concrete, masonry, or timber design in accordance with UK regulations. - Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail. - Clear communication abilities, both verbal and written—confident in producing reports and presenting to internal teams and clients. - A proactive, team-oriented attitude; keen to learn and progress.
