Job Title: Junior Software Developer Location: Meriden, Onsite 5 days a week Salary: £25,000 - £30,000 Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent About the Role:My client is looking for a Junior Software Developer to join their growing IT team at Pertemps Head Office. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to gain hands-on experience in software development and contribute to innovative projects that support the business's operations. Key Responsibilities: - Assist in the development, testing, and maintenance of in-house applications and software solutions. - Work closely with senior developers to improve existing systems and develop new features. - Troubleshoot and resolve software issues to ensure smooth business operations. - Participate in code reviews and contribute to team discussions on best practices. - Collaborate with various departments to understand business requirements and implement effective solutions. - Maintain clear and accurate documentation for all development processes. Skills & Experience Required: - A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience). - Knowledge of programming languages such as C#, .NET, JavaScript, or SQL. - Familiarity with web development technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and frameworks. - Understanding of database management systems (SQL Server, MySQL, etc.). - Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment. - Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. - Willingness to learn and develop new technical skills. Desirable Skills: - Experience with cloud-based platforms (Azure, AWS). - Knowledge of Agile development methodologies. - Exposure to version control systems such as Git.
