Manpower are currently looking for a Freight Forwarder in the Grimsby / Immingham area to join an excellent and ever growing team!

With a strong commitment to customer service and operational excellence, we are looking for the right candidate to expand a team with a motivated and detail-oriented Freight Forwarder / Administrator.
Job Overview:
As a Freight Forwarder / Administrator you will be responsible for coordinating the import and export of goods, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations, and providing administrative support to the logistics team. This is a varied role ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has excellent organisational skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Arrange and manage international and domestic freight shipments (road, sea, air).
Liaise with carriers, agents, and customers to coordinate logistics.
Prepare shipping documentation including Bills of Lading, customs declarations, invoices, and packing lists.
Monitor shipments and proactively resolve any issues or delays.
Maintain accurate records in line with company and legal requirements.
Provide general administrative support including data entry, filing, and responding to email/phone enquiries.
Ensure compliance with all import/export regulations and procedures.
Communicate with internal departments to ensure smooth operational flow.
Requirements:
Previous experience in freight forwarding or logistics administration (minimum 1-2 years preferred).
Strong understanding of international shipping and customs processes.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and logistics software (e.g., CargoWise, SAP, or similar).
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities under pressure.
Desirable:
Knowledge of incoterms, tariffs, and documentation requirements.
Experience working with freight forwarders, customs brokers, or logistics providers.
Multilingual skills are a plus.
