Electronics Engineer required to join a team developing advanced instrumentation, sensing and metrology solutions including the design and development of analysis and control systems in analogue and digital electronics focusing on embedded electronics, with FPGA and MCU components. Requirements Electronic design experience of PCB schematic capture, layout, manufacture, and testing. High performance up to 1 MHz, precision analogue circuit design experience. Design for CE compliance, EMC testing, and product safety knowledge. Version control systems Git. FPGA development, Verilog programming, and Xilinx experience. Microcontroller programming. PCB design in KiCAD v5 onwards. 1st class or 2:1 degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Physics. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in electronics, a passion for instrumentation development. Role Specification and design of PCBs. Maintenance of version-controlled design data and management of PCB fabrication through external suppliers. PCB verification and validation. Design, specification, and documentation of cables and wiring used in products and systems. Conducting regulatory EMC compliance testing.
