Role Overview:
You’ll be teaching Computer Science across KS3 and KS4, with KS5 experience being a bonus. Topics include programming, software development, and computer systems. You’ll be responsible for planning engaging lessons, supporting student progress, and maintaining a well-equipped learning space.
Key Duties:
- Deliver engaging and structured Computer Science lessons
- Help students develop programming and problem-solving skills
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback
- Maintain a well-organised and fully resourced computer lab
- Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum planning and resources
- Contribute to wider school life and responsibilities
Ideal Candidate:
- QTS or equivalent (preferred but not essential)
- Experience teaching Computer Science at secondary level
- Strong grasp of the curriculum and subject matter
- Energetic and practical approach to teaching
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
