Location: Cambridge, CB4 0DN
Shifts: Monday to Friday, 04:00 - 14:30
Pay Rate: £16 per hour
We are seeking a reliable and experienced HGV Driver Operative to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating heavy goods vehicles, primarily flatbed vehicles, with occasional Skip Roll-on/Roll-off (RoRo) work. Safety, professionalism, and excellent customer service are essential in this role.
Duties
- Drive HGV Class 2 vehicles over 17.5 tonnes.
- Mainly operate flatbed vehicles.
- Carry out occasional Skip Roll-on/Roll-off (RoRo) work.
- Complete daily vehicle checks.
- Ensure loads are secured safely.
- Follow all road safety and driver regulations.
- Complete delivery paperwork when required.
- Keep vehicles clean and report any faults.
Requirements
- Valid Class 2 (Category C) HGV licence.
- Happy to accept LTD drivers.
- Qualified to drive vehicles over 7.5 tonnes.
- Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
- Good understanding of road safety and driver regulations.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
- Previous flatbed or Skip RoRo experience is an advantage but not essential.
