We are looking for an experienced Class 1 Driver to join a growing and reputable logistics business based in West Thurrock.
This varied role will involve a mix of multi-drop deliveries, trunk runs to Felixstowe, and project-based deliveries to hotels across London and the M25 corridor. Typically, you'll complete 4-5 deliveries per day, operating a Category C vehicle up to 18 tonnes while maintaining excellent customer service standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete multi-drop and trunking deliveries safely and efficiently.
- Deliver to locations across London, including UB8, UB3 and NW10.
- Secure loads using ratchet straps and load restraint equipment.
- Assist with loading and unloading where required.
- Carry out hotel project deliveries, including collection and return of equipment.
- Wait on-site during hotel project work while goods are unloaded or utilised.
- Complete vehicle checks and delivery paperwork accurately.
Requirements
- Valid UK Class 1 (Category C) Licence.
- Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
- Previous experience as a Class 1 Driver, HGV Driver, or Delivery Driver.
- Experience securing and strapping loads.
- Good knowledge of London and M25 routes.
- Reliable, professional and a strong team player.
- Comfortable managing a variety of delivery types and routes.
Hours & Salary
- Monday to Friday
- Start times between 08:00 and 09:00
- Finish approximately 17:00
- Salary: £39,000 per annum
