For more information on this vacancy, please contact Jason Johns at RGB Recruitment.  Civil CAD / BIM Technician (Civil 3D) – Cardiff We are partnering with a well-established medium-to-large engineering consultancy that is continuing to grow its Civil Engineering team in Cardiff. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Civil CAD / BIM Technician to join a collaborative and technically strong team, working on a diverse portfolio of projects across the residential, commercial, data centre, and wider building sectors. The Role As a Civil CAD / BIM Technician, you will play a key role in the production and coordination of high-quality civil engineering drawings and models, supporting the successful delivery of projects from concept through to construction. Key Responsibilities: - Produce Civil 3D models, drawings, and technical details for below-ground drainage, external works, and level designs. - Work closely with Civil Engineers and multidisciplinary in-house teams to deliver coordinated design information. - Support design coordination with external architects, MEP consultants, and contractors. - Follow established BIM standards, workflows, and project protocols to ensure consistency and quality across project deliverables. - Prepare general arrangement drawings, sections, details, and schedules for a variety of building projects. About You - Ideally 5+ years’ experience in a similar Civil CAD, BIM, or Technician role. - Proficient in Civil 3D and experienced in producing civil engineering drawings and models. - Strong understanding of drainage, external works, and infrastructure design packages. - Comfortable working within multidisciplinary project teams and coordinating with external stakeholders. - Based locally to Cardiff or within a commutable distance.  What's on Offer? - Salary £30,000 - £45,000 - 25 days plus bank holidays - Profit share - Group pension scheme - Opportunity to join a growing and highly regarded engineering consultancy. - Exposure to a varied and exciting project portfolio, including residential, commercial, and data centre developments. - Collaborative team environment with opportunities for professional development and career progression.  If you are interested in learning more, or know someone who could be a great fit for this opportunity, please get in touch. |  |  |  |
