Casualty Claims Handler Location: Glasgow Job Type: Full-Time Salary: up to 38k DOE Pertemps are currently supporting a key client who are looking for a detail-oriented Claims Handler with experience in casualty claims to join their growing team. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about delivering high-quality claims services while working in a dynamic and supportive environment. It is essential that you have experience dealing with casualty claims, ideally within commercial. Key Responsibilities: - Manage a portfolio of casualty claims, including Employer’s Liability, Product Liability, and some motor claims. - Assess claims accurately, evaluating liability and quantum up to £25,000. - Ensure claims investigations are thorough, fair, and compliant with industry regulations. - Communicate effectively with policyholders, brokers, and internal teams. - Identify and address customer complaints efficiently, escalating where necessary. - Negotiate claim settlements to ensure timely and fair resolutions. - Participate in audits and follow specific account requirements. Key Skills & Experience: - Previous experience in claims handling is essential. - Knowledge of casualty claims is highly desirable. - Strong customer service skills with excellent verbal and written communication. - Experience in a commercial insurance claims environment is advantageous. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to learn new IT systems quickly.
