Caretaker – SEN School in Gravesend
We are seeking a reliable and proactive Caretaker to join a welcoming Special Educational Needs (SEN) school in Gravesend. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong work ethic and a commitment to maintaining a safe, clean, and supportive environment for pupils and staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out general maintenance and repairs across the school site.
- Ensure the premises are safe, secure, and well-presented at all times.
- Support with health and safety checks and compliance.
- Manage cleaning schedules and liaise with contractors when required.
- Assist with setting up rooms and moving furniture for school activities.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a caretaker or site maintenance role (school experience desirable).
- Practical skills in basic repairs and maintenance.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one).
- Flexibility with working hours.
