We’re recruiting on behalf of a well-established, independent contractor operating in the UK renewable energy sector, with a strong track record delivering large-scale solar PV construction and O&M projects across the country. With significant growth in clean energy and a strong pipeline of utility-scale projects, the company is expanding its health and safety function. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated Assistant Health and Safety Manager to join a forward-thinking organisation and play a key role in maintaining high HSEQ standards across multiple live sites. Key Responsibilities - Support the safe delivery of solar PV construction and O&M projects - Assist with development and implementation of RAMS, audits, inspections, and toolbox talks - Promote a proactive safety culture on-site and across teams - Ensure ongoing compliance with CDM 2015 and current UK Health & Safety legislation - Maintain and update health & safety documentation, including incident reports and performance data - Support internal training and continuous improvement initiatives Requirements - NEBOSH General or Construction Certificate (or working towards) - Experience in construction, civil engineering, or energy/infrastructure projects - Working knowledge of UK HSE law and CDM Regulations - Strong organisational and communication skills - Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel Desirable - Experience in solar PV, renewables, or utilities - TechIOSH, GradIOSH or similar professional affiliation What’s in It for You - Join one of the fastest-growing sectors in UK infrastructure - Work with a company that values quality, compliance, and employee development - Career progression opportunities in a supportive HSEQ environment - Competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package Due to the nature of the porjects its essential that you have a driving licence and are prepared to travel to various sites as and when required outside of Somerset.
